Important COVID 19 Notice @ Pastor's Pen

• Sunday School @ 10:00am  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  Sunday School returns to the Fellowship Hall on Sundays at 10:00 AM.  We will continue to practice solical distancing while wearing mask.
• Sunday Worship 11:00am  Until further notice we have cancelled all weekly operations, meetings and rehearsals.  Our Sunday Worship begins prompty at 11am and ends before 12noon.  We are observing the recommended space and distance requirements to better restrict the spread of COVID 19.  Hand santitizer is located at the entrance and the exits of the church...use it!  If you feel sick PLEASE STAY HOME, but let us know that you are ailing.  If no one else is at the church on Sunday, the Pastor will be there.  Check us out on Facebook or click on one of the Sunday Service links below.
• Wednesdays @ 6:30pm  Bible Study is back and virtual.  Join us as we investigate the Word of God...together.
• Sunday, January 1st @ 11am  Join us for Communion.  Jesus instructed, "This do in remembrance of Me."
• Sunday, January 15th @ 11am  Welcome to Sister Tammie Harper, our new Music Minister.  Baptism Service. 
• Monday, January 16th  Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with service to someone other than yourself.  Help feed the community with Chef Mercedes at 1985 Campbellton Road in the Plaza.
• Saturday, January 28th  It's Bingo Time!  Join us for Bingo, food and fellowship.  Prizes for all!!!
• Sunday, January 29th  T-Shirt Day.  Come and represent your favorite sports team, social organization or school.

OUR WORLD NEEDS PRAYER!!!

PEOPLE OF GOD!!!  Remember, "For We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12 NKJV).  Stay focused.  Stay prayerful.  Stay strong, trust God and never live in fear.  Go forward!

What We Believe...

It is our belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  Christ died on the cross so that our sins can be forgiven.  Accepting Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour is what makes us saved and  it allows us to be "filled" with the Holy Spirit.  Serving the Lord is what makes us worthy of the blessings and the joys promised.  We love the Lord.  We serve the Lord.  We love one another.  We support one another. 

Our task is to preach and teach the Word of God to the people of God in such a way as to move us to make choices and changes in our lives that will allow God to have His way in and through us.  Everyone, regardless of age, race, gender or religious "affiliation" needs to know that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins and all Christ asks in return is that we form a personal relationship with him and and receive the Holy Spirit.

Here, I have to warn you that this personal relationship with Christ, if it is true, if it is based on faith and love and trust, it can bring you everything you desire in life.  The warning is needed because others may not have that same level of faith, love and trust that you might have and subsequently they might not understand or appreciate the "new you."  Keep growing and going forward and God will give you what you need in due time. 

Hang in there because the changes in your life will be worth the effort.
